i asked a similar question before but was misinformed, so i'm asking again now knowing what i'm asking , i hope that's okay! also please keep in mind that sbux is my first job, so if this is a dumb/obvious question please be kind!
but anyways i thought i had vacation time, and it turned out i just have sick time as my PTO! i'm going out of town for two weeks, and would like to be able to at least make up enough to pay rent lol , am i allowed to use sick time for non-sick time off? i don't want to get in trouble haha

just ask your manager. i let my partners use it for whatever they want. as far as i’m concerned it’s their money. idgaf

at my store we’re allowed to use it for “mental health days” so maybe you could use that as an excuse?

If they already requested they days off, they won't have scheduled hours to apply the sick pay too.

No, you can only use sick time if you call out sick from your shift or for doctors appointments during your scheduled time.

You can also use it for doctors/dentist/therapy/etc appointments when you're not scheduled

And if you have to take an immediate family member to those kinds of appointments. At least my manager allows that.
