Tips locked in a broken safe (self.starbucksbaristas)

So I’m pretty fucking irritated with this company in general already considering we are one of the busiest locations on a university campus and we had 3 people running the floor all day today, and we still don’t have the 15 so I’m solo barring both mobile hot, cafe hot, and cold bar while not even making 13.50
But on top of that now our safe has randomly broken??? And I hadn’t been in the area for Easter and hadn’t gotten my tips from the week prior, so now I have a ton of tips in a locked safe that we have no idea when it will be broken open or replaced, and my accounts are almost in the negative. I use my tip money to buy my cats food and such, and now I have no idea when I’m going to get it.
How the fuck can they just shrug their shoulders over withholding money from me for an unknown amount of time????

When our safe broke, they had someone out within 24 hrs to work on it. Partner tips are also kept in a locked locker

In my store safe also broke three weeks ago and we’ve been waiting for new safe to be send . I think all the really old safes just started breaking down , I’ve heard of 5 stores with no safe access for more than two weeks already.

if you’re a regular starbs you need to tell your manager to do a pay out for you and give you your tips. they can’t withhold your funds

Asked manager about it again today and she said we couldn’t do anything until the safe was fixed. About to just call and report it, it shouldn’t take weeks to replace a safe. Not to mention, we can’t even accept cash until we get a new one because all the tills are locked up.
