SSV Interview with questionable manager (self.starbucksbaristas)

I have a SSV interview with a different store than the one I’m a barista at currently. I’m in a position where the promotion would be very beneficial to me financially and this would be exciting under normal circumstances. However, everyone at my current store is warning me that the SM I have an interview with is awful. I’m talking to 2 other stores right now for the possibility of a SSV spot but don’t have any interviews lined up yet.

The advice I have for anyone before transferring stores is to pick up shifts at the store they’re looking at to transfer. As long as that store is in your current district you can pick up shifts at that location. You can get to know the partners, and probably a pretty honest view of the manager. If you have details about why your current store does not like the manager ask those questions when you’re on the floor.
