Some lady yesterday complained and said she thought the honey citrus mint tea was iced 🙄

Edit: Apparently after she complained, she asked for a cup of ice, poured it in her drink, and then insisted it tastes better iced after taking a sip. Lady, you didn't even take a sip of your freshly made medicine ball. Don't even try to compare it 🤡

A lady came in today and ordered a hot triple decaf espresso in a venti hot cup with cream on the side and some classic. I read her order back to her. She confirmed. She came back to me saying that it’s not what she ordered 😂 i re-asked her.
M: “You said a a hot triple decaf espresso in a venti cup with cream on the side right?”
C: “Yes. But in California they always fill it to the top.”
M: “So maybe they’re making you a decaf americano? Or a decaf latte?”
C: “No. this is always how I order it and it’s always to the top.”
M: “I’m so sorry. But I don’t think they’re making you what you order. You ordered 3 decaf espresso shots, so that will only fill (demonstrates on cup) to here. 3 shots don’t even fill our 4 oz cup. Id check with them to see what they’re doing.”
C: *clearly frustrated* “interesting. Can you just throw decaf coffee in this.”
Explained the pour over and she went on her way with her decaf pour over coffee with 3 dead decaf shots
🤷‍♀️ idk. She was rude, but I understood her frustration. Just goes to show that customers have no clue what espresso is though.

I hope she hated it

The other day I had someone get the honey citrus tea with 5 shots of espresso. I kid you not.

No where near as bad in any way, but today a customer ordered a cappuccino and when he picked it up he went “Why is there all this foam? Put more milk in it.” and refused to take the next two remakes with lighter foam until I just made a latte and then he took it.

Reminds me of the one time i was on bar and this guy and his friend came in. The one guy got a grande cappuccino and while i was making it, he casually just asked me if i can put some lemonade in it

I got the classic "iced cappuccino". I asked if he wanted a latte with cold foam and he said "I've been getting this order for years why am I always questioned on it! Make it how you always make it!" Never seen this man before in my life. I ring him up an iced latte and he seemed happy with it out the door.

The grossest thing a customer ordered from me was a grande iced coffee with an add shot, raspberry instead of classic, and a splash of pineapple infusion. I was curious what the fuck it tasted like, made one, and it tasted almost exactly like cherry robitussin 🤮
