New SSV Advice? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by bleedfiend
Hey guys so I'm a new SSV and I'm being scheduled as the main closing shift at my store and was wondering if anyone had any tips for starting out. This week I'm doing my practice shifts and just wanted to know what advice other SSVs have for someone starting out. Tysm!!!!!!

Hello! I’ve been a SSV for a little over 6 months and I primarily close. My main piece of advice is to start your closing tasks early. I’m not sure how much you will need to do at night, but it is so much easier to space out closing tasks such as cleaning the bathrooms or pastry case throughout the night. I made the mistake of not doing that and it took twice as long to get out of there at night. Also, I typically do a store walk after I am done with my SSV duties and the Baristas are done with theirs and just wipe down cabinets or fridges to really make sure it looks nice and clean.

Don’t stress! You got this and good luck :)
