Can a licensed store take away free drinks? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by anonbaristaandstuff
Soooo if this is actually a thing they can do I’m quitting.
Anyways this girl talked back to our building manager and as a result he said nobody is allowed to have free drinks anymore. At all.
We’re not allowed to have a single free drink during our shift and no discounts either.
Is this allowed??? Bc I know it works different for a licensed store.

I already have issues with both the building manager and this girl already made me cry so like I’m cool with quitting it just sucks bc this Starbucks is so close to my house.

It really sounds like people should quit all at once, load the internet with terrible reviews about working there, and take a bunch of free stuff as you all leave.

We actually might go on strike but we gotta organize it first. Everyone’s super upset bc it was out of nowhere and only because someone talked back to the manager :/

licensed locations have no obligation to follow corporate markout rules or give you any free product at all unfortunately

That sucks so bad. We’ve literally had free drinks the entire time I’ve worked here but someone talked back to the manager so he took them away.
Guess I’ll try to move to corporate ://

Licensed store don’t really give out free drinks. I used to work in one and had this high school girl get fired for giving out free drinks to her friends.

I used to work at a Tarbucks and they never let us have free drinks or food unfortunately
