So I may be having surgery in a couple of months. I just got approved for the surgery so I haven’t even met with the surgeon to know any sort of date yet (The surgery I’m having currently has a waitlist so I have no idea on the date) which is why I haven’t told any of my leaders yet. Once I know a general timeline, I will let them know.

My questions are, what kind of coverage will I have when I have surgery? I’ll be out for six weeks so I’m hoping I can take a LOA so I can keep my benefits.

Secondly, do LOA hours count towards benefits too? I took an LOA earlier this year because I broke my finger and was out until the middle of last month so I’m hoping those hours count
