Training Modules (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Tsunami_Eels
Hi!!

So earlier today towards the end of my shift my SM asked me if I could stay later and work on modules, unfortunately due to personal issues I was unable to stay past my scheduled time. But I did say that I could come in on Monday and work on them and get them done.

Does anyone know if I would still get paid for this? Like just for going in to do modules on a day i’m not scheduled to work?

Thanks in advance!

Yes you will get paid. Write it in the book!

This and Clock in! What helps the SM is if you write in the book (T) in the reason code to let your sm know to switch your punch to training hours instead of coverage

My store manager had to call me to ask me some questions and before she made it clear I did not have to talk to her at that moment as I was not scheduled and I would be payed for it if I did talk with her

> would be *paid* for it

FTFY.

Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:

* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*

* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*

Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

You could get in trouble for doing anything work related “off the clock” and this includes training.
