Selling straight concentrate? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by gemi-high
Is it against any kind of policy to sell straight refresher from the box?

We can’t serve uncut refresher base from the 4x concentrate. That would be selling a beverage component and isn’t allowed. It would also mean that any remaining product in the box can’t be used properly as it can’t be measured properly

I figured, and i did refuse to sell it that way to this customer who is now reporting me to corporate. But im less anxious knowing i was doing what i was supposed to

There is no way to charge it correctly either, because the system accounts for it being cut, so this would not charge them enough nor would it reflect correctly in the stores inventory.

People order no water, no ice refreshers sometimes. I wouldn’t hand them the box, ever, but if you’re pouring it in a cup and serving someone that ordered it it’s fine.

ETA, for clarity, I misunderstood. I meant from the pitcher, which is already cut. I would never open a box and pour that in. It hadn’t occurred to me that this is what OP meant. Oh man, I SEVERELY misunderstood the question. I apologize.

Never pour uncut refresher from the box into a cup for a customer. Only no water, no ice, already cut, from a pitcher. We do not sell uncut.

Yes. I misunderstood the question, you are correct and I edited my original comment to clarify what I meant.
