i'm moving in a few months and was hoping to transfer to a store in my new area. i brought it up to my SM and she said that it's up to our DM, and just talked about how i should be extra friendly and outgoing when our DM visits so she'll want to transfer me. i felt okay with this as i'm confident in my friendliness with the customers and know that i'm a hardworking employee. i have severe social anxiety though, so i do struggle making small talk when i'm on window most of the time. but i try really hard (and take meds :D) and i thought i was doing good. however, my SM apparently doesn't think so as i found out she got mad at one of our SSVs for putting me on POS/cafe bar when our DM was visiting bc i wasn't loud/talkative enough while on cafe bar. she told the SSV not to put me on that position and that there's no way i'll get transferred like this. :/

now i'm scared to even bring up my potential transfer to our DM. our DM is really nice to us baristas, but we know she gives our SM a lot of heat in private, so idk how strict she is with this kind of thing. is there even a chance she'll want to transfer me? should i even try?

i'm stressed bc i really liked this job and was happy with the work i was doing. advice pleeeaaaseee
