you should, no matter what, be getting ALL of your scheduled breaks. do not let this go. call PPC and report them and say something to your manager if you haven’t already. you are literally entitled, by company policy, to be given all of your breaks, and you most certainly should not have to be ASKING FOR THEM. this is honestly astounding to me, i’m so sorry you’re being treated this way

nah fuck them like you said we’re entitled to our breaks and them being gossipy and grumpy is used to intimidate u even more, dont let them take that away from you !

Nope not okay. If anything, I would try and cut the lunch and offer a second ten and getting out early

So that is illegal, you are required by law to get breaks after working a certain amount of time. You definitely need to talk to your SM or DM and PCC about this. If you are scheduled for a break then you get it. That being said, it does not always have to happen at the exact time it is listed on the DCR (they can be moved while creating the schedule) but you do get it no matter what.

actually in my state, they don’t HAVE to give me, an adult, a break. at least, not for the length my shifts usually are. per STARBUCKS POLICY, not law, they have to give me my breaks if i want them. it is allowed per company policy for me not to get those breaks, but only by my choice. i don’t know if it’s technically on us to ask for our break if we haven’t received it, which would mean they’re allowed to silently not give them and leave it to you to ask, or if they’re required to offer it. if anyone knows the policy on that, pls do comment. but, per LAW, they’re allowed to deny my breaks. they’d just risk their jobs, since that’s against corporate policy.

I totally forgot states have different laws. But for real you should reach out about it to your SM or PPC. If you feel you need your breaks, then you need to get them
