So I can't stand when people don't answer. I think its extremely rude. With that said...if they say no they can't I leave at that and say it's ok thanks.

my sm did this to me when i was new!! i said yes once and then kept asking me to work more shifts and i didn’t realize i worked an 8 day streak once and i told them about it and they told me that it’s technically not 8 days straight since the schedule resets every monday 😭

not all! my first two sm’s never ever asked people to come in unless it was a very last attempt or they knew people were actively looking for extra hours.

That’s been me lately! Working a week straight and RIGHT when I have a day off it never fails I’m always getting called in… I just say no tbh you need that time to yourself :((

God I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with guilt tripping! I use to when I worked hotels but I lucked out with my store so it I say I can’t none of my partners or managers give me grief they are just like “no worries thanks! ❤️”. I feel like I was in a bad relationship because my automatic response is “……what do they mean by that??” *(squints eyes)*

Most of the time I respond and sometimes I don’t. It’s not part of our job to cover for people who can’t be f*cked to even show up or at least call. Yet some people are so quick to guilt-trip you as if it were.

My SM tried to guilt trip me recently because when I first started I needed the hours, but when 3-5 partners ask me to cover a shift on a day off after working closing shifts for two weeks straight, it’s a no from me dawg. I only will switch/cover shifts for a select few partners now and if my SM asks then I ignore it lol keep ya backbone!!

I HATE THIS... If I don't respond, I get calls. Its like "dude, I'm ALSEEP and its my day off, I ain't coming in to work". Sadly, I made the foolish mistake and let my SM know I didn't live far so anytime someone calls out, she calls me 😫😔

i live 30 minutes from my store though. my SM knows this because she lives 10 minutes from me and i see her at the grocery store all the time 💀
