I never ever say that i can do it “just this once.” I disagree, and I apologize, but I’ve met a lot of entitled customers saying that “so and so’s starbucks lets me” and usually theyre the same people that have been told they can only do that “just this once.” So, when I have people tell me that, I tell them that per Starbucks policy I have to charge for a latte if its more than 4 oz. If they give me lip, I reiterate and say that I cant do that unless they want to pay for a latte. Always stand your ground because thats EXACTLY how people think theyre entitled to things in the first place. Dont let them bully you into it.

i usually explain that this one time i can do it, but if they come back or go to another location, they maybe charged for a latte as thats what theyre ordering, then let them know its just policy

I would tell them about cappuccinos and lattes and in the future we have to charge for iy

Jk probably say i can once but next time if they want it to the top, I’ll have to charge them for a short two shot latte.
