I deleted the app minutes after installing it. When I saw the message “you agree to give Starbucks access to your messages, photos, videos, etc”. None of those things are relevant to checking a damn schedule.

The app should be giving you notifications like

“Your shift May 7 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM has to been changed to 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM”

It’s not required but it’s nice

i love the app i always get notifications for everything and it’s nice because i’m paranoid and have to check it 100 times a day hahah but it’s definitely handy to have

Let them know you don’t always have internet/data access on your phone, so it’s not a reliable way for you to check your schedule or changes to your schedule. It shouldn’t be a requirement to work there.

Nope! You can also access your schedule online. Lots of people don’t like installing the app because of the level of access to your device the app requires

No. I didn’t even know it existed until a few months ago. I only downloaded it because the paper schedule isn’t reliable (*at my store it’s not. should be, but my SM changes it constantly) and I was tired of never knowing what time I worked.

nah it isn’t required, ig just strongly recommended so you know your schedule asap. but there’s several partners at my store that just use the paper schedule and it’s never been brought up as an issue!

I don't trust the app and I just look online. I Google "Starbucks partner hours" and it's the first link. I just check it every day/night to make sure of my schedule tbh.

the app does notify u when the schedule changes (i think??) cuz it does for me but it isn’t required. but it also lets u know when other shifts r available to claim. i think it just makes it easier to change ur availability and ask for time off tbh. cuz when i wanted time off last year my manager made me download it so :/
