Okay so, the Howard Schultz talk(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by TransportationDull64
The dude who made the portable cold foam blender.. He said that VSCCF is much healthier than whip cream
Wtf no its not, VSCCF is 3/6 heavy cream, 2/6 two percent milk, and 1/6 VANILLA SYRUP
1/3 of it is sugar/syrup
WTF
Whip cream has like 4 pumps of vanilla syrup
How tf is it healthier, do these people not know how to make cf???
Please explain like I legit don't understand
Edit: fixed recipe and spelling 😅
Ristrettooo62 points1y ago
that's . . . not the proportions of sweet cream. In a 2L pitcher it's 1L heavy cream, 600 mL 2% milk, and 350 mL vanilla. Still an extreme stretch to describe it as "healthier" than anything though, I agree
philosopher_cat_lady4 points1y ago
The fractions are roughly equivalent. They did go from 1/6 syrup to 1/3 syrup though

OP has edited the post; it originally had very different measurements and incorrect ingredients.
Zealousideal-Star44857 points1y ago
They out here trying to say it’s healthier because they charge customers a buck 25 for it over free whip cream
Necessary_Low93912 points1y ago
On point with this comment lol
FfierceLaw47 points1y ago
Even though OP got the vanilla sweet cream recipe wrong, OP is very correct that it was laughable to state that people are getting cold foam because it’s healthier. They are just addicted to its sweetness and fat
TransportationDull64 [OP]7 points1y ago
I fixed it 😅😅😅
But in short youre saying I'm right?
FfierceLaw2 points1y ago
oh yes! I laughed when I heard his "healthier" statement during my forced viewing
OddDifficulty377432 points1y ago
I feel bad for your store if that’s how you make sweet cream.
TransportationDull64 [OP]10 points1y ago
Nahnah, I had the recipe wrong, I hadn't made it in a while 😅😅
nicathor16 points1y ago
Dude hasn't crafted a beverage in... probably ever. He was probably told that 'cold foam' is very low calorie and that everyone gets it on their drinks. But, since he aint on the floor I doubt he even knows we have multiple cold foams and that standard 'Cold Foam' that literally no one orders is just nonfat and two pumps of vanilla. He's out of touch with the basics, go f\*ing figure
bigghostb00ty2 points1y ago
Maybe he meant non fat cold foam. Still… out of touch. But that would be an accurate statement I guess…
romanianhopscotch6 points1y ago
Ooo gotta be healthy so I better put sugar on top of my sugar instead of sugar
FfierceLaw2 points1y ago
Underrated comment. Plus does paying $1.25 somehow make it healthier? It's healthier for the company, maybe that's what he meant (sarcasm)
philosopher_cat_lady4 points1y ago
About as true as his anti-union nonsense
Necessary_Low9394 points1y ago
Howard is so delusional 😂
TransportationDull64 [OP]1 points1y ago
Like, he didn't say it, it was some other dude and most of what he said sounded good
Necessary_Low9391 points1y ago
Ok sorry I thought Howard invented it.
TransportationDull64 [OP]3 points1y ago
Yee 😅
Hoax_Pudding_Cup3 points1y ago
One of my coworkers has this theory. They can't advertise SCCF to the public because it's so unhealthy, so they pay off "influencers" that make tiktok drinks to boost sales. People will get anything they see off tiktok.
bauhaustattoo3 points1y ago
I caught that too. I think the person they brought to the table is out of touch and thinks the nonfat cold foam is what folks are ordering in excess. I think in the 7 months I’ve been with the company, I’ve seen that ordered thrice.
FfierceLaw2 points1y ago
Was there even a bona fide in-the-trenches barista in the room?
TransportationDull64 [OP]1 points1y ago
Fr, it tastes like cardboard anyway
iforgotmyprevlog3 points1y ago
It’s high in fat and high in sugar. In what way healthy??? All bad, corporate seems like they don’t even know what company they work for l
Have_Donut3 points1y ago
Healthy is a subjective term. It has less fat, which equates to healthier in most peoples minds.
TransportationDull64 [OP]3 points1y ago
Which is weird because fat isn't the thing that is unhealthy or makes people fat, sugar and calories are
Nonfat milk has more carbs. Carbs are basically sugar, nonfat milk has more sugar which is more unhealthy than whole milk or 2%
The USDA is kinda stupid, when nonfat milk was popularized they were expecting obesity cases to drop, the opposite happened, the was a sharp incline in the cases.
Nonfat milk isn't nonfat, there are healthy fats. Nonfat milk just has no fat
