Is it true all you have to do for the black apron is just take a little quiz? I’m curious how it compares to the original program and the coffee academy they rolled out as a replacement

It's definitely not as intense as the original. However, it does still take quite a bit of work spanning five books and online tests. They're detailed enough that if you do college through ASU online, these five "books" would count for like two classes in credit. There are also other requirements that were not disclosed in the weekly update, but I think they should be the same as the old version. Have to be working for at least a year etc.

So I'm going through all the courses right now. If you do then online, yes, there are quizzes. But there are multiple and some of them are hard to get all right if you don't read everything on all the slides. And then there are activities. Technically, I have 3 out of 5 certificates already, but I am not going to count them until I do the activities personally. And there are a lot. Some are just explaining a concept to someone or writing in a journal, but most have to do with brewing certain coffees in certain ways. I have about 15 different kinds of tastings that I need to do so far, and I have 2 more courses to go. If you're going to go for it, please don't skip the activities just to get the apron.
