I have no idea what Ellen wants, but only $.75 for vsccf! It’s $1.25 here, and every time I ring it up I think it’s wild that customers don’t have a problem paying that.

Your store is too nice, we would charge the nitro as an add shot since it's not frap roast and never put the drink into a trenta cup, we might give them the extra in a separate cup since we can input "double cup" and "in tall". It just helps for when they go to another store that follows standard they don't throw the whole "they always do this for me at my regular store" fit.

I had a man absolutely SCREAM at me because I refused to put his frappuccino in a trenta. He kept accusing me of throwing away the extra, but I hardly ever have extra frap leftover. Maybe enough to cover the veryyy bottom ridge of a tall cup lol. He then accused me of making it wrong after telling me I’m the only person that “knows how to make it” …I don’t know either.
But instead of telling this adult baby to stop yelling at at someone 20-30 years younger than him my then SM told me to just give it to him and ✨ make the moment right ✨

I had a lady scream at me because we wouldn’t put her frapp in a trenta cup! “But the other Starbucks does it!!!!” I told her that’s a great Starbucks, you should definitely go there in the future! I smiled sweetly as I said it. Haven’t seen her since.

Yeah idk why you’d choose to argue about something so silly, seems like you could just do it and move on. Like Frappuccinos are super expensive. Obviously it’s not chill to yell/ but escalating the situation by refusing a simple request albeit not a standard- just make the moment right. It’ll feel better than being obstinate….

I personally would be tempted to get one single thing wrong each time, different thing each time, and see if she'd find a different drink or different place to terrorize with her presence. But of course, that would be unacceptable to actually do.

We don't do Trenta sizes for anything but what it's intended for at my store. We tell people that we have to inventory cups and there's no button for us to mark out those cups in if it's not meant for that drink.

I genuinely don’t understand why managers and shifts allow customers to treat you guys so badly, that you have to write their order down and keep it in a safe spot. It doesn’t make anyone’s life easier. She needs to be put in her place, this is Starbucks, not a fucking palace where we tend to their every little wants and needs.

Exactly!!! Some people don’t realize how awful they’re being either, so reinforcement can go a long way. We’ve written 7 incident reports on one customer (I know, 6 too many) but after my manager told them they’ll literally be banned from every single Starbucks in our district if they get one more report, they started treating us with respect and have not complained about their drinks ONCE. Not all customers can change their attitude - but shit - scaring them into being nice works just fine too. I hate seeing how many baristas here get walked all over because no reinforcement is happening.

the frap roast button is on the size screen near the ristretto button. you can click quantity and then the frap roast button if you’re having trouble with that

That’s funny. When I used to work for the siren we had a customer named Ellen who also had a very complex order (but it consisted of 3-4 complex drinks) and would berate us if we couldn’t remember all the drinks and all their modifications. Sometimes she’d purposely mobile order a pike (with a bunch of complicated modifications tho) and then when she came to the store to pick up she’d say “well where’s my refill??” But likeeee there’s no button for that. Ugh.
