Im not sure, a lot of stores around me seem to be hiring. Especially my store...theres a high turnover. I suggest going in on Monday and ask for the manager, cause the manager usually just does paperwork on mondays

That makes sense to me.

When I got this job, I applied to 14 stores and got calls back from two. Got hired in a week from the first store that called within a week. It's mostly timing based.

I kinda figured that was the case 🤔

if you live near an airport, apply to the Starbucks in one of them, they’re usually always hiring bc there’s a high turnover rate

I applied to over 15 stores, got no calls back and gave up for a year.
A year later, I applied to about 5 but this time I took a more personalized approach. Got a call back from one store that needed new hires. I tried to walk in the cafe days prior to the interview to meet the store manager in person, but they weren't there so I asked if a barista could leave a note for me (including my name and that I came to visit) for the SM to read.
My SM interviewed me and I found out there were 3 other applicants for the same position. I think my natural smiling helped a bit, but what I think really got me the job was when she found out I visited the cafe, left a note and went the extra mile. I really wanted the job.
What ensued was a 8-month career with Starbucks that I enjoyed, overall, a lot. I was a high schooler surrounded by old peers who had lots of experience and aged wisdom. On night shifts, we would discuss things about life and random things while we worked. It was an experience I will never forget. I also acknowledge that many stores are not like this and are run by terrible SMs and workplaces more toxic than the Chernobyl incident. I was very lucky.
Please also consider checking out Youtube, as many former SB partners have made excellent videos on this and how to go above and beyond in showing your interviewer you really want the job.

Thank you for this info ☺️

How many hours are you looking for and what is your availability like? Poor availability is the number one reason my SM rejects people.

I changed it to 40 hours just to see if it would make a difference

I have applied to Starbucks multiple times throughout the years. I didn’t get so much as a call back until 2020 and now I’m stuck with the siren for life it seems. (First time I applied was probably 2014)
