tips for using the mastrena 2?? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I’m in a tarbux and we just got mastrena 2 yesterday, it was up to me and another LS and also for some reason a person who just got hired recently to figure out how the machine works and it’s kind of difficult for us to find resources for more info on starbucks stuff. ive got the basics down i think but any advice would be great, also tips on dealing with the cleaning cycle?? is there a way for me to reset it so that it won’t go off in the middle of peak?? it had us clean it during the middle of a rush at 3pm which sucked obviously

The cleaning cycle only needs to happen once every 24 hours and should be run at night when you clean the machine.

it should only make you clean it once a day as long as you’re actually doing it at night I’m pretty sure. never had a problem with that unless someone didn’t put in the tablets the night before in my experience

yeah it had us do it at 3 today. we just got it yesterday and our kiosk was closed for the remodel. only three people were scheduled (me and the other two) and we all left at 5. we didnt know if we were supposed to clean it, we had never used it before and our ETL wasn’t there or available to help guide us so we did not put the cleaning tablets in. there wasn’t a closing shift since we were closed all day anyway so I wanted to know if there was a way to reset the cleaning cycle so it doesn’t go off in the middle of the day again

been a sec since I worked at the bux but pretty sure there’s something in the menu to start the cleaning. it will require it like that if you don’t run it but you should be able to do it whenever

I’ll have to try it again tomorrow, this morning at 6 am I tried to clean it before it was due to be cleaned and it said cleaning aborted and wouldn’t run the cleaning tablets I put in :/

You can clean it early but not until a certain hour frame… (like 6-8 hours before cleaning is due) honestly I just read the manual there isn’t a ton of info on the Starbucks site either that I could find when we first got ours.
