my younger brother just tested positive for covid. my throat has been really scratchy all day but i figured it was from the weather/allergies bc i’ve also been congested. now i’m afraid it might be covid.
we have no home tests left so unfortunately i’ll have to wait to get tested. i’m off the next 2 days fortunately. what is the covid policy now if i test positive? bc its really confusing and no one has had to isolate since it updated.
i’m honestly going to be so mad if it’s freaking covid. i wear my mask EVERYWHERE and i’m completely vaccinated and boosted 😭 meanwhile my aunt and uncle haven’t been vaccinated, refuse to wear masks and haven’t gotten it once 🥴

you need to quarantine for 5 days, during which you’ll get paid isolation pay for any shifts you were scheduled for. anything after that, you need to use sick time. learned this the hard way :/ you also need to wear a mask for 2 weeks after, if you aren’t already wearing one (which i recommend anyway since customers are nasty lol)

same. me and my roommate (we both work at the same store) got covid at the same time and we were like, “well when i said i wanted a break this isn’t what i meant…”
i also wear my respirator (kf94 or n95) mask everywhere, i’m vaxxed & boosted, still got it. i was so mad lol.

Anyone know the policy if someone in your household tested positive, not official diagnosis by a doc, and you have symptoms but tested negative with home test?
