Short Rant (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Michaelbelikee
We opened a new store and one of my co workers from my previous store came with me . And all this guy does is talk about his past relationships and his sexual relationship on the headset. Def not trynna hear that . Do y’all have co workers that can’t find work appropriate stuff to talk about?

One of my fellow closers always talks about her shitty exes and past abusers and her full time job as a first responder so she trauma dumps a LOT. Not to mention she has a pretty big attitude problem and gets snappy with a lot of our other baristas. Idk sometimes I just wish she’d say something positive even if she’s faking it.

Facts like we ain’t here to be a therapist. Sure we can guide you to resources but sometimes I don’t wanna hear the negativity in your life

yep <3 one of my male SSVs talks nonstop over the headsets with the most uncomfortable stories and makes inappropriate jokes all the time. i do Not feel comfortable working with him (especially if it's low staff) i even tried to switch from afternoons to mornings to avoid him but now he started working mornings too..... i just avoid wearing a headset as much as i can when he's there :)

ps this man has a WIFE and a DAUGHTER and the way he talks about women is.... yeah no

Like your username btw, have you thought about letting him know that you don’t wanna hear it? Bc I plan on telling my co worker that they needa stop

oh he fully knows everyone's over it, he jokes about it all the time. he's also joked about how i take off my headset when he has his on, and how i switched to mornings to get away from him (even tho idk how he would've noticed that) (also thank you)
