SM removed shifts (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by canidieyet_
I’m in quarantine until Saturday. My SM removed all my shifts this week (my only days off were Mon & Sun). Am I still going to get isolation pay?? Or at least be able to use my sick time?? There’s no way I can go without a week of pay. That’s ridiculous.

My SM did this and removed a 7.5 hour shift when I was waiting for my test results (I missed a 7.5 day and another 5 hour pay) but when I got back, I put in the dates for both days I missed for a total of 12.5 hours and a little later, my pay stub did pay me for 12.5 hours of catastrophe pay. Just remember to write it down in the punch communication book!!

She removed all of my shifts this week, and I don’t remember what my hours were. All I know is I had roughly 24 hours this week

Try to ask her about it! I don’t think I put in the specific start time in the punch book. I put in dates, and how many hours but maybe you can write down all the dates and put a little arrow totaling them to 24 hours? If you’re comfortable enough, I do encourage you to ask your SM about it. Tell them you noticed they removed it but need to write it down for isolation/catastrophe pay. The SM can’t say no. If you’ve never been paid for isolation before, I think you’re entitled o get paid for up to 40 hours or something (somebody fact check me). And if you have coworkers you’re okay talking to, bring it up! I brought up my 7.5 hour situation and all of them were like super encouraging about my rights
