practice explaining how to connect with customers, the (so called) importance of it, and have story time style examples of how you do it and how you encourage others to do it
story times for times when you've had to coach partners, include when you recognize excellence (which you should always be doing when you are coaching anyways !)
store time about engaging with a customer to learn about their experiences at your starbucks
be prepared to talk about a skill you want to develop or have developed to better your performance
story time for when you had a different opinion or pov from your manager or team and how you went about expressing yourself and what you gained from the differing opinions
story time for how you've shared knowledge with your team, especially for new launches and such
I believe they'd rather you be customer oriented, enthusiastic and friendly/charismatic than introverted and task oriented (heavy emphasis on customer oriented, lots of passion and energy towards our lovely customers), a team player and ready to hear different opinions and knowledge from anybody instead of in a fixed mind and working solo, and somebody who takes ownership, responsibility, and blame rather than avoiding it obviously lol

Well, my manager gave me the list of SSV questions so that I can prepare. I prepared by typing out all my questions and answers and having scenarios from my experience to answer the questions. Most questions/answers are about coaching and problem solving. So keep that in mind when it comes to answering.

there are questions on partner hub you can use to practice! When they interviewed me they asked the questions right from the same list of questions i found online. Just try to be as specific as possible when giving examples! Don’t sweat it, you’re going to do great!

the best advice i can give is try to have scenarios in which you’ve coached people and helped the team in the past fresh on your mind and practice retelling it! most questions i was asked were able to be answered with situations i’ve been in as a barista, and if you’re a barista trainer, situations around that! also, times that you’ve problem solved. remember you’re interviewing for a management position so you want to look like not just an asset to a team but someone who can be the person who handles all the situations
