Call out? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Thts-atiny1
I’ve been throwing up all evening and I have the opening shift (7.75 hrs) tomorrow. Would you go in?

Call out ASAP. You can’t work if you’ve thrown up in the past 24 hours. I don’t think you’d pass the partner check in.

And in any written communication, use that language.

"I won't pass the check in".

According to the food handlers course in my state, you legally can not work if you have been throwing up within the past 24 hours.

Food and safety laws state that if you throw up you must leave work immediately due to airborne/common food borne illnesses. And they are not to return to work for 24 hours (after symptoms). So that applies to you even though you did not throw up at work.

While you work keep a garbage bin near by for you to throw up in.
