Nail Policy Questionnnn (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by SpinachLegal
I have an event next weekend that I really need to have my nails done for. Problem is I work on that Friday and Monday, and my store has recently become VERY strict about the clean nail policy thing. I’m thinking to just do press ons so that they don’t last as long, but in the past i have had SO much trouble getting them off too soon, to the point where is damaged my nails. If I wore gloves on friday or monday, do you think i would be okay?? Obviously i would need to talk to my manager to be sure… but honestly i’m just asking if anyone has had experience with that. i don’t see why it wouldn’t be okay if i just wore gloves and changed them frequently!

It’s against policy. Your SM might be willing to bend a rule, but don’t bank on it. You can’t have any type of nail polish/fake nailed regardless if you wear gloves. It’s a food safety thing.

My sm has been really understanding for things like weddings/prom/etc as long as you get them off in a timely manner. And for press ons, from a former press ons addict, target sells a press on removal kit that works pretty well, but just do a soak in acetone for each nail for 10 min/wrap them up with a soaked cotton pad if you don’t have that option! :)

something i do is get press ons and just use those. there’s adhesive pads you can get that work well but don’t damage your nails like nail glue does!

gloves are okay coming from an ssv here! just know the glove changing standards and you’ll be okay 🥳
