Need some guidance on calculating tips (self.starbucksbaristas)

I was designated by my DM to calculate tips for my store but they never gave me any guidebook. And no one I’ve talked to has had the time to explain.
I think I know what I’m supposed to be doing but could someone just give me a breakdown on how to do tips.
The equation is tipable hours / the cash total. Then that result multiplied by the hours a partner works right?
I know it’s kinda simple math but Im anxious and I don’t want to fuck up peoples money (we get a good amount of tips and a pretty small staff).

It's cash total/tipple hours. Just remember it's $/hr.
Then multiply that result by each person's weekly hours. Round to the nearest dollar.. I usually add up the end results just to guage if I messed up somewhere. It should be within a couple dollars, just use the tip jar to adjust. (Put extra in the jar, take a couple if you're short.)
