Does anyone know if someone is just getting hired today/within the next 2 wks — will they still get the pay increase to $15 for baristas & $19 for ssv’s in August? My understanding is the pay for everyone working in corp stores (non-unionized) who isn’t already at $15/$19 will be raised to it. (self.starbucksbaristas)

Lol unionized stores will get it too, Howie just likes to lie to scare people

Ok. Thank you, I would edit that out if I could but I can’t. 😕

So you’re saying everyone will get bumped up to $15/$19, including people who are getting hired right now and even in June or July?

Yes. $15 isnt just a raise, its going to be the new starting wage for baristas

Thank you! That’s what I thought.

Yes. You won’t get the added 3% bump, but you will get the $15.

With the unionizing stores what happens is as soon as they vote yes to unionizing they freeze. No changes in benefits or pay until they make it through negotiations. If they are still in negotiations when august 1st hits they won’t get the $15 then. It will be on the negotiation table still. Ultimately they will get it, but if negotiations drag out for 6 months or more it will be delayed for those partners. There is legal backing to this.

i think the cut off was hired on or before may 2nd

This is for the additional raises. The 15/hr minimum is for everyone.

oh yeah , if you’re not making $15 dollars already , then you will . if you already make it , it’s 3% increase . but i still do believe the cut off is may 2nd
healthypenguins 2 points 1y ago
Yea, the 3% cutoff is May 2. And the percentage for raise goes up based on tenure.

Where’s more information about this? First I have heard of other raises
