Question for Baristas (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Top_Medicine1418
what is the best way to make the new chocolate sweet cream cold brew less calories/sugar? I already substituted the syrup for sugar free vanilla. Is there any way to make the chocolate sweet cream less sweet?

Thank you all!

you could ask for normal cold foam with malt powder instead of the standard vsccf with malt powder

came to say this! and some baristas don’t even know there’s “regular” cold foam so you might want to specify that you want the foam made with nonfat milk 🤍
rnaggie53 13 points 1y ago
Yes specifically say nonfat cold foam so they can’t mistake it

How do you make nonfat cold foam? Would we have to make an entire pitcher of it or can we make one small batch? I work at a licensed Starbucks with less traffic and I feel like we are taught jack shit so I've never heard of this before

U just blend nonfat milk fam
Victoriamarie03 7 points 1y ago
Yea just wait until you try it nonfat for makes me hate sweet cream foam

Edit I realize I didn’t answer anything so you can just make a little it foams VERY well you don’t need a lot and I believe it’s 2 pumps vanilla with it aswell
diphenhydranautical 1 points 1y ago
just put nonfat milk in the foaming pitcher and 2 pumps vanilla i believe!

And only 1 scoop instead of the standard 2. Also make sure that they also use SFV in your cold foam.

I can’t have dairy so I make my chocolate cream cold foam with almond milk. It doesn’t foam up the same way dairy milk does but its good. Way less sweet. Tastes like the chocolate almond milk shaken espresso

Heavy cream foam with sugar free vanilla and malt powder or like the other comments say, nonfat foam. Also Splenda/ stevia maybe?
JustAnotherRyan5 0 points 1y ago
Why do people think heavy cream is healthier? It’s only good for a ketogenic diet because it has a high fat content, but even then it still has a lot of sugar (read carbs) so it okay in moderation. For a regular or healthier diet, the high fat content is not good and neither is the sugar…
lily-amber 1 points 1y ago
It was just a suggestion. It just doesn’t contain added sugars. 🤷‍♀️
JustAnotherRyan5 2 points 1y ago
I’m not mad at you! Just a general question that your comment brought up for me. It’s not added sugar but it contains a good amount of sugar from the lactose.
lily-amber 1 points 1y ago
I got you. You’re totally right! It’s definitely not healthy lol. People do a lot of dumb stuff to try to be healthy like getting sugar free vanilla syrup with the most sugary milk and sweet cream foam. Like lady, the sugar free syrup won’t cancel the rest of the sugar out!! 😣 I too thought I was being healthy before I started working at Starbucks and realized how dumb I was.

you could ask for normal cold foam which is just blended non fat milk and you could go for 1/2 the scoops in the actual foam as well
Inferno-ando 1 points 1y ago
Asking for the foam to be made with skim- like the others said. Might have been a better suited question for r/Starbucks though…

grande cold brew with sugar free vanilla, regular cold foam made with sugar free vanilla and one scoop of malt powder!
Basic-Table-3131 1 points 1y ago
I have used skim milk with malt powder and stevia!
