Absolute proof they don't know what they are ordering.
brattneybiscuit 127 points 1y ago
I dare you to put espresso, Splenda, and half a cup of milk
herpaslurp 61 points 1y ago
i would. it's a learning opportunity for the customer. they'll even call to me for their lesson.

“So you want a latte?” “No I want a cappuccino but with no foam” 🙄 Coming right up
Emarie2200 36 points 1y ago
When I was a green bean, one of my first drive thru experiences was exactly this 😭 I was so dumbfounded.
Responsible_Snow7109 62 points 1y ago
I was about to say why the drive thru person didnt ring it up as a latte but then quickly i came to the realization that u cant win with those exact types of customers lol so if they wana pay more for a latte then they totally can. Theyre used to the gas station cappuccinos lol

I had a gal ask for a hot brown sugar shaken espresso.. I told her we could do a latte with all those modifications but that the shaken espresso comes iced. She said "no, they made me a hot shaken espresso yesterday".. I said okay maam.. and put in a latte.
dahmerpalms 13 points 1y ago
Don’t we have an americano misto for that drink?
goblinvodka 11 points 1y ago
If we do, my store has no idea about it lol
dahmerpalms 11 points 1y ago
It’s the brown sugar oat americano :-) should be next to the shaken one on the pos
mypoopoosmelly69 12 points 1y ago
Isn’t that only in Canada?
nxchxlx 2 points 1y ago
THIS! Canadian partner here and I went to AZ Sb recently and I was asked if we had a Americano Misto button bc they’d get Canadian customers askin for it but had no idea how to punch it in! I never knew til then that it was a 🌟 Canada tingz 🌟
goblinvodka 2 points 1y ago
Interesting! I'll have to check for it tomorrow

I have a regular who orders iced lattes, with oat milk, brown sugar syrup and cinnamon powder and is absolutely against ever ordering a brown sugar shaken espresso
BarberNo8592 7 points 1y ago
Ok this is kinda valid, I sometimes do this and add an extra shot (I know it’s more expensive) but it gives me more liquids than a shaken espresso (which I love but my store would cram ice in there until it was pressing up against the lid so it was really dramatic and my drink would be gone in 4 drinks)
ProfessorSalt413 3 points 1y ago
Yeah I get that, she’s just super rude about her order every time so I kinda wanted to bitch about her a bit
BarberNo8592 5 points 1y ago
Of course!! That’s never okay - bitch away lol.

I'll give you an even stranger one. This person who ordered from me today INSISTED that in their home country they do the shaken espresso the exact same way but hot.
Necessary_Low939 41 points 1y ago
They like the cappuccino name on their ticket.
FfierceLaw 21 points 1y ago
For some of these people we just need a microwave for their bed time hot milk
Rip-Any 1 points 1y ago
Those were the good ole days.
drinkliquidclocks 16 points 1y ago
I asked the customer who ordered a no foam cap and she said “I just want less milk, lattes are too milky. Just leave the room in it” ok… so just order a smaller size? I lose my mind more everyday
Emarie2200 10 points 1y ago
Then why even order a latte in the first place tbh 😂 or add more espresso. There’s only so much we can do here.
mewwissa 12 points 1y ago
Sometimes we just smile and nod 🤣 is a cap cheaper or something? Maybe they know what they’re doing 😆
mypoopoosmelly69 10 points 1y ago
It’s not, i’ve checked the prices before
Gold-Ad9746 9 points 1y ago
A lady ordered a venti vanilla steamer with 2 shots and when I asked if she just wanted to do the vanilla latte she said it tastes different 🤦🏽‍♀️😂
pupgarcia 7 points 1y ago
I have someone who orders a venti hot chocolate with a double shot...so a mocha??
Professional-Lie6004 7 points 1y ago
Latte with 4 Splendas…..got it…..
Royal-Plastic7784 5 points 1y ago
I used to have a regular that would order a grande hot chocolate with two shots of espresso.

Yes, that is a Cafe Mocha. But if you told them this, they would argue it’s not the same. Every. Time.
Fluffybunnybadass 1 points 1y ago
oh, i think they came thru my dt!
Mea-fae_Owl73 5 points 1y ago
😂😂😂🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️😂😂
jamesbeast215 4 points 1y ago
Nothing makes me angrier than an asshole who orders a "wet cappuccino" but this is almost as bad
Art3mmis 3 points 1y ago
omg we have someone that gets this at our store too
cpv_91 3 points 1y ago
I just can't with these people 🤦
Ren_Chelm 2 points 1y ago
bless their heart that's so cute
WingsofFlight 2 points 1y ago
Latte it is.
gabby24681 2 points 1y ago
I’ve seen some wild ass fake ass 36 ingredient cold brew ass orders but this? … this makes me mad.
madisonla 2 points 1y ago
Hahahahahaha omg
entrails_avalanche_ 2 points 1y ago
In all seriousness...how would you even make that ? Caps are about 90% foam....so just pull shots ...Splenda and an inch of steamed percent ?
krym32zamoon 9 points 1y ago
Cappuccinos should only be about 50% foam by default. If you're doing a 90% then that would be like an extra dry Cappuccino so careful
ZaftigZephyr 1 points 1y ago
Bruuuuuuhhhh. They never heard of a latte.
dallizzlee 1 points 1y ago
They didn’t try to explain wtf a cappuccino actually is to the customer?
Emarie2200 8 points 1y ago
They probably did. People who order like that just think they’re right and will argue great lengths. I have experienced this before unfortunately.
maine_coon2123 1 points 1y ago
If you have time can you tell us how the argument goes I am so curious
