Fighting to keep plexis (sneeze guards) in my store (self.starbucksbaristas)

For months I have been fighting to keep the sneeze guards (plexis) up at my store and last week the decision to completely remove them was implemented. The store is so small that there is no part of the line that is more than six feet away from customers. After calling every possible number I found out that ,1) the guidance says the CAN come down not HAVE TO come down and 2) it it's at the discretion of the DM. I am about to get in touch with the RD about this. I would encourage anyone who wants the sneeze guards (plexis) back to call partner resources and keep escalating your case. My store had the plexi taken away like months ago…I liked it because it kept the customers away from us

You should just get one of those face masks with the shield. It’s like your own personal plexi that doesn’t irritate everyone else on your floor 😬

if the plexis irritate u, pick a different struggle
idk why u want more places for customers to rest their drinks right over bar (a spill waiting to happen)

honestly i feel like a fish trapped in a bowl with the plexis up. but when it comes to safety... i will say, after plexis and masks dropped in our area, tips went way up
