my shift will ask like “what’s our store purpose” and can we fulfill it. or “how will u connect with the customer today” i usually just say stupid bare minimum shit cuz i don’t care

You are not alone.... my store does it too... honestly it is ridiculous. Ultimately if the company wants us to commit more then they should flat out pay us more. I am committed enough to show up and very rarely call out. I do what is expected of me when I clock in as in I do my job. I will not commit more then "the bare minimum" because to the company I am only worth paying the bare minimum... The responses I give are what I do already. If they have a problem with that they can pay me more for more "comment" pr A.K.A. more work...

My store does this. Our shifts and sm have to do their own prompts as well to fill out each day. We also generally have to do at least one green apron card per shift as well.

lolololol - this is totally a made up thing by your SM - most likely driven by their DM forcing them to come up with an AcTiOn PlAn...and this was the brillaiant idea they came up with to improve customer connection. Such horseshit.

We don't have to write it down, but we're supposed to discuss how we will be going above and beyond for the customer when we connect with our supervisor at the beginning of each shift

Approach your SM and see if you can do this weekly instead of daily (you can set the duration of messages for 7 days in My Daily)

This is an unreasonable ask to come up with something new. Every store should have a "store purpose" which is something you all live by daily and it gets updated either twice a year or quarterly I can't remember lol

Yea I wasn't saying start now to work harder. I wasn't even saying you should commit more at point in time. All I wanted to point out was that if you're still here by August you will see a pay raise. That's it.
