Uber eats (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by 7beforeminutes5
Had a 19 drink Uber eats order and like 5 food items. All of them had instructions to individually name the cups and foods from Uber. Who thought this was a good idea? They can sort out their drinks when they get them! I don’t have time during peak as dto to play match the drinks!

How did uber communicate the instructions to you? that's so weird

It said at the top of the order that the order had multiple names and to check. And then under each drink it said label for ______. We ended up writing names on generic white stickers and putting them on top. I wish I had taken pics of it!

nah fuck that, i wouldn’t have labeled it. entitled shits can go figure out which drink is theirs by reading the damn stickers 😹😹🙏🏼

Apparently it’s called a group order and it’s new on Uber eats

i already hate this. no. google search: how to uninstall bullshit ideas.

uber can't even keep its inventory up to date with ours, no matter how long it's been since we turned it off. why should we do the extra work when they can"t even do the coding equivalent of turning off a light switch

Was gonna say. That sounds like how doordash does a group order oh noooo

I bet it doesn’t even count extra towards labor even thought it significantly increased the work required and slowed our drive times too

Our store is still new and doesn’t have Uber eats yet, but we’ve been told it will be in the next few months. I’m already dreading this because with cafe and mobile orders we are already very busy. We are the only SB in a small town and it’s been a constant flow of customers daily.
