that’s not okay . you need to talk to the store manager about it . and if they don’t listen , you contact the district manager .

I'm seeing my manager today so I'll bring it up with her, hopefully something will be done, thanks

I don’t know the number off the top of my head, but you need to call PCC and Ethics. Don’t go to your manager, or even your district manager. Have everyone who has experienced these issues firsthand or witnessed them to also call those numbers and file complaints. Fill out incident reports.

Thankyou, I'll speak to the rest of the guys about this and get it sorted!

SSV here- that’s not acceptable behavior at all. As supervisors, we have a duty to maintain a good experience for customers AND baristas alike. We are supposed to be calm and centered, and your rock of support if you have any questions or concerns. I’m sorry that your SSV has not maintained the status quo…she should not be getting that angry at you regardless of what it is.

If I had to guess, the fact that she’s on bar indicates a lack of other experienced bar partners. By not having more experienced support people, she got stressed out. SSVs usually try to place themselves as a support position or on front register, as it is usually easiest to be playcaller in those positions, so a bar position indicates lack of experienced staffing. However, that is NO excuse for the way she acted. I would ask your SM to either talk to them or be a mediator between you and the SSV so that you can connect with them.

She is certainly not calm and centered lol, I don't think I've ever seen her when she isn't storming around. Whenever I ask her a question or for help too she seems irritated about it. I was in a supervisor position at my old job so I was responsible for training and supporting newbies too and even in much higher stress I didn't behave the way she did, it just seems as though she has been allowed to get away with being like this.

And that's the thing, every employee there is strong on bar, if not stronger than her. Bar one person who is very new who wasn't in then. I'm also strong on bar but whenever she is in she seems to force others to do everything else so she can go on bar. The other supervisors do exactly as you say but she just seems to do as she pleases. I'm going to speak to my manager about it today, thankyou.

leave thats been my best advice I could give to literally anyone about starbucks leave find a new job and never look back this company destroys us physically and mentally and keeps us on the brink of bankruptcy on purpose so it hits harder when we get sent home or call off leave find a new job give notice and separate yourself it has nothing to do with a store itself and is almost always bad at every store

Yeah I'm ngl I have gotten bad vibes about a few other things. I wasn't particularly overly excited about working for this company to begin with but because the team was decent (or so I thought) and it was easy for me to pick up I figured I'd give it a go for a bit. But after coming from another coffee chain who had the same problems, I don't wanna end up stuck in the same situation I tried so hard to get out of before. And I'm already beginning to feel those same mental and physical problems I had at my old job. I'll work on finding something else, thanks, think I needed to hear that tbh.

If it makes you feel even better I plan on separating myself on the 20th telling them thanks for the oppurtunity but I am finishing my schedule out and going onto my next chapter... And its true im moving into a field where my degree im working towards is associated... Ive never had the mental and physical problems I currently have before starbucks honestly its awful my advice is everyones hiring take the time to find something that feels right that voice in your head will let you know always trust your gut feeling and when you find one your gut says is the right fit leave notice for finishing out your schedule and separate in a professional way so you can come back if you ever wanted

I'm so glad you're moving on to greener pastures! Best of luck with everything. People don't realise the way working these jobs affect your well being, I really hope your new job is much better and that you feel better. I'll definitely be on the look out now, appreciate it

Don't know how to handle it besides reporting it. Its not okay to act like that.
Elegant-Tomato720 1 points 1y ago
Yeah I'm definitely going to report it, not letting her continue to act like this with people, the jobs hard enough!
