Updates on healthcare? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by mekayla96
Did they lessen the time we are required to work before being eligible for healthcare benefits? I thought I remember reading that somewhere but not sure.

I swear the same thing! That it was on a weekly update saying that they reduced the hours required for this last quarter to be eligible. My SM says it is the same as before when she looked it up on her MacBook. I’m going to search the updates archive to see what it says. Normally I don’t memorize that kind of info because I work more than 32hrs a week.

please let me know. i tried to search it on the hub and a i could find was the audit range posted back in jan, which says 520 by june 19th and june 26th on two separate links, both listed as updated on the same day with no idea which was correct. i am 100+hrs short of 520 (maybe 90 after this week?) and have been here 8 yrs. i literally cannot find the difference between which is correct. if you know which update it was, please tell me so i can find it on the hub for myself.

i am literally asking people for their shifts, and using my PTO to pad out hrs in a pinch. this is such fucking bullshit lol.

all i know is the last several audits have been reduced (i think last one was down to 480 instead of the 100+ reduction of early covid audits), but with the way the company's been lately, super all over the place, i'm not expecting this miracle. especially not with the major hr cuts from out of asscrack nowhere.

I will let you know! I don’t go back to work until Thurs but I’ll make sure to let you know. I’m sorry you are going through this. I once fell ineligible and it was the longest most stressful quarter!

Fr. I have a second job that does eligibility audits every month, and it's not hard to pick up hrs there (i also have a regular schedule), so worst case scenario i switch my focus to getting hrs with them. But i've had my main insurance w/sbux ever since i started, so I don't want to lose it. Habits and all that.

The requirements for benefit hours were reduced from 520 per audit session to ~450 . I think k it was some time in April or March but it was definitely posted in a weekly update

What is the time frame of a audit session

Audits are every six months I think? The next one is in June
