Sup y'all

So I quit Starbucks in the first week of March to pursue another job. That job didn't work out and i ended up leaving that job too. Afterwards, I went back to Starbucks seeing if any places near me were hiring and none of them were. I ended up travelling for a few months and while travelling, I got an email from Starbucks saying that they wanted to see if I'd be up for an interview to get back to working at starbucks. I didn't expect much considering that I was travelling and I thought they'd move on to the next candidate but the manager said she'd be willing to wait for me to get back from travelling.

I called up the store today to make a time to meet with the manager... but i feel like it's been so long since i've been at starbucks... like i did spring training for this year and then i left both starbucks and the country. In my hometown (the country i travelled to)... the entire city doesn't have a starbucks because it's a small city (the bigger cities do have it though) so I haven't been keeping up with what's new with starbucks. So what's been going on? Are there new drinks? If so, what are their names and recipes? I honestly want to go back feeling like i still know starbucks. I feel like when you're a green bean, it's fine to ask for help but when you've been working there for a while and then you quit and it's only been... like 2 months since quitting... i feel like i'm still expected to know things (and i still do) but i'm internally panicking.

the only new drink is the chocolate cream cold brew it gets the 1,2,3 pumps of vanilla per size, and vsccf to the 100ml line and 2 scoops of chocolate malt powder, that’s it :) nothing much else has changed except there’s still some issues with cutting hours (at least at my store)

did they change it? cause the standard vsccf recipe calls for 150ml.

so does it have a topping? or no topping?

also with the 2 scoops, is it 2 scoops regardless of size or 2 scoops for a gr size?

thank you so much for answering btw, i really appreciate it.

the recipe card calls for 100ml on the pitcher, and it’s 2 scoops regardless :)

Don’t panic. I tell people all the time the one consistent thing about Starbucks is that it changes all the time. We get new promos on a regular basis, they tweak recipes and standards (not too often) and practices. I wouldn’t want to go back trying to know it all. It’s expected that you will need to be updated. You will be given training. Some of it you will already know, some of it you won’t.

thank you

and one final question… i forgot to include i left right before the mask mandate changed. like is it if you’re vaxxed, you don’t have to mask and are they still requiring covid testing every week if you’re not vaxxed or did that change too?
Mea-fae_Owl73 2 points 1y ago
If you are vaxxed it’s your choice to wear a mask unless their is a local mandate. My store never required testing for unvaxxed partners so I can’t confidently answer it but I believe no store is requiring it.

ok because my state was one of the first to let go of the mask mandate but starbucks was still requiring it. then we had for a brief moment (in feb), unvaxxed partners needed to get a neg covid test every week in order to keep working. vaxxed partners didn’t need to get the weekly neg covid test but we still had to wear masks. after i quit, i saw a few partners not masking but i never asked about it and then i left the country so…. never got to find out.

but again, thank you so much for all your help, truly you’ve been wonderful. have a great day ☺️
