How many people do yall have on the floor at peak?
blackboynxtdoor [OP]15 points1y ago
During the week usually,
1 Front Register 1 cafe/mobile bar 1 DT Bar 1 Warming 1 Staging 1 DT Window 1 HHOP. Sometimes we will have enough that we will be able to have a customer support, as well as a bar support for drive-thru, and one for Cafe/mobile. But it's usually no cs, and only one person supporting both bars.

What do your half hours look like?
blackboynxtdoor [OP]10 points1y ago
I don't know total numbers between cafe, mobile, and drive-thru. But I know in drive we're doing between 35 and 60 cars per half hour. Here with it this last month though the size of our orders have increased significantly. Like before during peak in the morning if we have 20 cars come through maybe three of them are ordering three or more items. But now if we have 20 cars come through 18 of those cars are ordering three or more items.

Wow we do half of that a week. I’d love to work that peak

When we are fully staffed and in a good rhythm it can honestly be fun sometimes!! Time flies.

We usually have 1 mobile espresso, 1 drive thru espresso, 1 frap, 1 refresher, 1 iced coffees/cold brews, 1 staging, 1 window, 1 warming, 1 CS, 1 on handheld, and 2 up front handing off mobiles.. our cafe has been closed for a year. Turnover rate is so bad though we essentially always have a trainer and their trainee taking up a single spot on the floor. We do $120k a week and we’re in probably the shittiest Starbucks you’ve ever walked into.

Holy shit!! I'm sorry about your turnover. But you're doing something right!! Where is your store??
whatjever1 points1y ago
I work at a Starbucks in Arizona in between downtown Phoenix and the west valley. Since we’re the only Starbucks heading towards the city that is right off the freeway (for about 20 minutes), we get all that influx of patrons trying to get their coffee before work, along with the families who are on road trips coming from like California, Texas, Utah, etc. But it’s also placed in a relatively poor neighborhood so we used to have to deal with a ton of theft and it even got so bad we’ve had to hire security to walk around the plaza we’re settled in.

My location the shopping center we're in there is security that walks around already. We have gotten rid of and closed down our patio. People can sit out there but we've taken all the furniture away. We have a large Transit population. Once every few months we'll have someone come in and shoot up in our bathroom. We'll have people come in the store and take their clothes off and cause a scene. All stuff that I'm sure you have dealt with it your location.

Wait that's how much we make

Looks like my store's numbers! Fun times, we are basically a whole holiday launch week after week in... MAY?!

Are you near a highway exit or something? 35-60 cars every half hour is crazy to me!!
blackboynxtdoor [OP]1 points1y ago
Actually we are in the middle of a main street that leads to a highway so highways are to the east, and the west of us. And there are Starbucks right off of the highways. And we still do this much money. The other store in our district that's the closest to what we make is they make about 70,000 a week.

You probably got told to cut labor too. Huh? 👹🧜♀️
blackboynxtdoor [OP]1 points1y ago
Actually for the last month we have not had to cut labor. But from January to the second week of April we were cutting labor every single day.
