Hey as long as you think you work well under stress/a fast paced environment and like drinks, I encourage it! Corporate stores has some nice benefits you could take advantage of. I have never been a barista prior and I love the job! There are cons but it’s a pretty good job compared to fast food imo

I’m 21f and have had food service experience but no coffee barista experience before Starbucks. They train you well and everything is based off proportions so not too hard to learn everything. Should be a good job for you

hi hi! I applied to be a barista in march of 2021 and in april 2021, I started. I had dropped out of school bc I had no idea what I wanted to do with life and had no work experience either. my manager at the time took a chance and I’ve been with starbucks for a year, have become one of the strongest partners at my store and have an amazing team I work with. I truly didn’t think I would make it bc I have mad anxiety and am introverted but if you have a great work ethic, can get along with people decently and can handle stressful environments, you’ll be a-okay! You’ll be fine! It’s definitely stressful but all of the training is helpful if you have the right trainer!
