Random question but I’m bored on this very slow day…why do the bottles start getting deformed like this one? Also Fredrick the Fly (my summer bestie) says to tell everyone hello from atop the peppermint syrup. ❤️ (i.redd.it)

How do you still have sugar cookie, isn’t it “expired” ??
Illustrious-Air9834 [OP] 54 points 1y ago

the licensed store i worked at 2 years ago at an amusement park (thru sodexo) had a made-up refresher made with watermelon cucumber juice, water, and cucumber slices. they really do whatever they want lmao.

lol i work at a tarbucks, we still have sugar cookie, pistachio, toasted white mocha, and caramel brûlée

Someone is rinsing those bottles with the hot water from the brewer spigot.
Illustrious-Air9834 [OP] 28 points 1y ago
Interesting how that can turn the bottle into looking like darth vaders helmet post-fire
trbpanda 30 points 1y ago
when the bottle get hot they crumble up it's silly looking. if you get an empty bottle of syrup and you put the steam wand in it and steam it, the bottle shrinks
sammieduck69420 12 points 1y ago
i sometimes steam the milk jugs especially when we're low on trash space cuz it melts and as you flatten it to cool stays like an envelope to slide into the bin
turtlegoose2011 19 points 1y ago
I do that and then accidentally blow the hot plastic milk air into my face when I flatten it. -10/10 experience

Your closers are rinsing the bottles in hot water to dissolve the syrup off them. Best/ quickest way to get it clean.

It Happens.

This⬆️!

it happens to the syrups that aren’t replaced as often because when you clean the pumps by pouring hot water on them it gets the syrup off, and it goes unnoticed on pumps like vanilla caramel classic etc because the bottle get replaced so often but for our long term syrups they get rough looking after a couple weeks of hot water torture

Not to be “that guy”, but there was definitely a mass mark out for that a while back… but also low key jealous lol

FearlessGift7062 2 points 1y ago
i also work on a college campus tarbucks! B) i go back to work tomorrow morning
GwenZilly 3 points 1y ago
Someone poured hot water on them and warped the plastic lol. Gets rid of the syrup but makes it wonky. My manager just accidentally did this
Smallfemdom 2 points 1y ago
Heat from espresso machine? Steam also shrinks them
fookyall 2 points 1y ago
Sugar cookie?! No. Ain’t no way.
diphenhydranautical 1 points 1y ago
i will literally buy that syrup off you
Minute-General-2090 1 points 1y ago
either it is placed too close to a heat source or someone is rinsing the syrup off with too hot of water which leads to melting plastic and very harmful to people because the chemicals from the plastic are seeping into the syrup.
SoggyIsland 1 points 1y ago
This happened to me once. I was cleaning the syrups using hot water when I ran a classic syrup bottle under the hot water for too long. It melts the plastic.
Dismal_Beginning_199 1 points 1y ago
I’ve never seen a bottle do that 😳
Narrow_Sandwitch 1 points 1y ago
I know we used to slowly pour hot water on them to get them less sticky but sometimes it would deform the bottle.
