i just put in my two weeks, im curious to know where everyone’s planning on working after the siren? I kind of feel lost but I can’t handle the stress anymore I’m about to hit 3 years. I’m gonna miss starbucks flexibility I just don’t want to be in customer service anymore

tbh when i move i’m thinking of going into bartending, it’d be a pretty easy transition i feel, but i’ve also looked into being a receptionist because being on my feet all day and reaching for so many things is really starting to take a toll

ive been looking into receptionist jobs I know you still have to interact with people but man its incomparable to the shit starbucks throws at us everyday, bartending is a good idea too 🤔

i feel like bartending would be a little harder than starbucks, sure starbucks has lots of customizations on the daily but there’s also a bunch of stuff you need to know, but the tips would be WAY better, and reception jobs you at least get to sit down mostly

In my opinion, whatever good thing you think you’ll miss about Starbucks, except maybe some regulars and some partners, isn’t actually a good thing at all. It was one of the better things of a shit job for a shit company. I was a partner for 6 years and thought I’d miss it. I worked at, and now manage, a department store’s espresso bar after leaving the siren and it is miles better than Starbucks ever was. Starbucks encourages customers to be vile garbage and treat partners like crap. That doesn’t fly in other coffee jobs. The stress at Starbucks encourages for its partners is overwhelming. You deserve to be respected by everyone you interact with

this is really sweet of you to say, it gives me hope. my mom has been making me feel like shit because “I’m leaving right before a raise” I almost forget people have normal jobs that don’t get treated like shit everyday, thank you

I just left at the end of March and I just moved on to a local coffee shop with better customers, coffee and hours. I enjoy being a barista but I didn’t enjoy the stress that came with being one at Starbucks.

I’m looking at a hosting job for Bar Louie, not sure if they’re a chain or not outside of MI. But, seriously there’s been a ton of drama going on so:/

I plan on going back into serving. In fact, I’m already in training at my new job, I’m just waiting to finish to put in my 2 weeks.

I’m actually facing a dilemma because one of my training shifts collide with my Starbucks shift and I can’t reschedule the training shift without rescheduling the whole thing 😅

recently i applied to become a legal secretary, and by the end of this week they'll contact me to see if i've gotten the job, i'll most likely hand in my two weeks or move to strictly weekend mornings for mr bucks. if i can't ill just hand in my two weeks since evening shift managers are so unbearable at my store
