I'm going in for my "first sip" next Tuesday. After being in retail seven years, I'm very excited to finally have a job with the bux (silly, I know) & wanted to know if you have any tips, tricks or advice for a new barista? Thank you guys for all your help!

You’re not gonna be good for a hot second. And that’s okay. You’ll get there.

It isn’t silly to be excited! This job is a lot but it is very rewarding! A few things- you won’t memorize everything at once, and you are going to make a lot of mistakes, spill a LOT of stuff, and probably cry a lot- it’s really okay! Even the people you see making drinks super fast started out slow and clunky. It’s going to be fine- This job is overwhelming even for the best of us! Do you know roughly what times you’ll be working?

Not yet. I'm going to be full time & my availability is mostly mornings/afternoons over the weekend with open availability during the middle of the week (I'm a mom & my husband works nights, & with one car we have to split shifts). It's also located in a mall, so I won't have to worry about drive-thru, which is nice.
