I just spell names phonetically. It’s pointless to take names if they’re difficult for the bar partner to pronounce.

so true, i usually don't tell people how to spell (its hallie, not hailey and people want to spell it halle or hally) my name so that the other person is more likely to say it right.

I have a David at my store who mobile orders every day under "Dayfid". Took me a while to realize the brilliance because this way no one ever takes his drink by mistake and he can always find his very quickly no matter how crowded handoff is.
