Mea-fae_Owl739 points1y ago
I miss Oatly!!! 😭😭😭
Alarming_Base314819 points1y ago
Where's the marker marks though..
🤣🤣
TylerJ71613 points1y ago
I read this ad "makers mark" and I too wondered where the booze was 😂
namastebetches2 points1y ago
same
Mea-fae_Owl736 points1y ago
The marker makes FIFOing soooo much easier!!! It’s was an issue at my store until markers became a thing.
megs128817 points1y ago
Man it must be nice to have an entire fridge for milks. We don’t have enough room to exist in the back
madisonla1 points1y ago
I was just thinking wow… they’re plant based milks would actually be cold
BlackberryOpposite3112 points1y ago
Wow it’s so clean!
lpablito11 points1y ago
You refrigerate milks before the go in FOH?! Can’t relate. Edit: non dairy products.
tewnaa2 points1y ago
I understand non dairy not being refrigerated because we don’t either until foh lol
hailvy1 points1y ago
Ew
sodakinq10 points1y ago
y’all keep alternative milks in the big fridge😳
richayy4203 points1y ago
Why not? It’s easier if room allows you to store them there than finding them in a box or on a shelf elsewhere.
sodakinq5 points1y ago
I agree, we just don’t have room and I haven’t seen anyone do it lol
cringeqween1310 points1y ago
Will never forget the time I mopped the inside if our back fridge because it was easier than using my lil T-Rex and soaking a bunch of rags

OATLY OMG HOW OLD IS THIS PHOTO?
i hate the new dream oatmilk
Sad_Current_138334 points1y ago
Dream Oatmilk? My store has Oatly Oatmilk, I've never even heard of dream
Lampinglamp9 points1y ago
it depends on the location then bc we used to have oatly and then they changed our milk to dream oatmilk (in feb 2022) and it’s crap. it has canola oil in it and it makes me puke. like i’ve legit stopped drinking starbucks oatmilk for that reason.
they also changed it too with all the other stores surrounding us and other stores in other cities in my state.
Sad_Current_13839 points1y ago
It sounds disgusting and I really hope my state doesn't get it.
Lampinglamp3 points1y ago
i gen hope you don’t. i personally buy oatly barista edition or elmhurst oatmilk barista edition at home and it’s all chill and dandy but the dream oatmilk that sbux has now has caused me stomach problems for days on end
yyz_barista6 points1y ago
Oatly uses low erucic acid rapeseed oil in their oatmilk which is essentially the same thing as canola oil. It's likely not the oil they use, but probably something else.
Lampinglamp2 points1y ago
probably then
kadulee3 points1y ago
ı havent heard of the new dream oatmilk
Lampinglamp7 points1y ago
yeah no it depends on the location. i hope y’all never have to deal with it. that oatmilk made my matcha separate so much so that it looked like it sat there for 2 days when it had only been 45 mins
cpv_917 points1y ago
And here I am just jealous of the fact that you have more than one BOH fridge. Our back room is tiny, everything is STUFFED into our one fridge and only a couple of us actually attempt to keep it organized and clean. 😝
And yes it is beautifully FIFO'd lol. 👍
makmelaf174 points1y ago
At my store that fridge with milks are also for clean cheese, cold brew, some rtd&e, not to mention cold brew kegs.... lucky you
packers15034 points1y ago
Why do you guys store alternatives inside the fridge ? They can be stored at room temp until you open it.
BelligerentCoroner5 points1y ago
It helps ensure consistency with iced drinks. If you start with 70 degree milk (and add a few shots of espresso), the ice will melt and water the drink down way more than if you're starting with refrigerated milk.
Babygirlt1 [OP]2 points1y ago
My store in particular doesn’t have a lot of dry storage for the boxes of alternative milks, so anytime we can find space in the fridge we take advantage of it!
MLGTheForkOnTheLeft2 points1y ago
Fuck yeah thats nice.
blackboynxtdoor2 points1y ago
That looks so beautiful!! So aesthetically pleasing. I can't remember the last time I was in a store that still refrigerated their non-dairy milks in back of house.
ConsistentCow58482 points1y ago
You only have one fridge??? Dont you run out of stuff faster that way? We have three the same size as that one. One for 2% one for nonfat/whole, and one for half and half/heavy cream...we keep our non dairy milks room temp until there opened. All that milk and we still run out every week. Honestly I'm KINDA jealous
RubySapphireSage1 points1y ago
We have 1 large fridge that’s able to fuel all non dairy’s , coldbrew cubes and kegs it was so huge and a 2 rack which fit all non-dairy .
mama_bibi1 points1y ago
I'm literally the only one in my store that does it and it's so annoying. Everytime I come in I have to fix it. Like I do it when I open or close but on the days I don't none of the other supervisors do it :/
DarkAtavian1 points1y ago
This is so interesting to see. We have one fridge dedicated to alternative milks and one dedicated to the jugs of 2% and the others. 2% takes the entirety of the left half of the fridge for us. It always spills other to other fridges too.
