Question about the dress code (self.starbucksbaristas)

I was wondering if it’s allowed to wear earrings. I’m planning to get my ears pierced and it’s recommended for the studs to not be removed during the healing time, which is for hella lot of weeks. I’d be bummed if i have to take it off and on just to do my shift🫠

Like others have said, you’re allowed to wear earrings and have 1 facial piercing, so long as they’re not bigger than a quarter.
I may or may not push the earring rule regularly and I may or may not have 3 facial piercings (2 are under my mask), but you didn’t hear it from me🤫. It really depends on the store how strict they are abt enforcing this

I second this. I don't have any ear piercings, but I do have two nose piercings (both visible) and my SM hasn't said anything, the entire time I've worked at SB.

I never had a manager who commented on my earrings, and I have 3 piercings in each ear. I only have a single facial piercing, but I worked with plenty of people who had more than 1 and nothing was ever said by my SM or DM. I think it really just varies manager to manager!

Yes, two earrings per ear are allowed as long as they're relatively small. Your initial earrings will be no problem.

I think it depends on your manager, if they’re relatively chill they won’t care. I wore worm on a string earrings to work and my manager didn’t say anything.

i had a manager tell a shift that she cant wear her earrings - she had like 12 lol including an industrial bar. meanwhile that same manager never said a word to me, who has 9 earrings, they're just all studs

I had some big ass hoop earrings on the other day and a shift lead said something to me about it. I said I was pretty sure I could wear them (I have no clue honestly lol) she dropped it but then I realized they need to be the size of a quarter hahahaha
The store I'm helping at doesn't give 2 shits about straying from dress code.

it’s honestly depends on ur manager. I have 5 earrings in each ear plus 2 nose rings. My manger doesn’t care but if someone big is coming into the store she lets us know before hand

fuck the piercing rules they’re gonna change soon. they hired way too many people without ever seeing under their masks the past couple years so they logically can’t fire them all

Never had anyone comment on my ear piercings and I have 13. Honestly if they did I would throw a fit too lmao I would never take them out
