The other day I almost walked out my store because of a customer who had no idea what she was getting, she does a mobile order for a VENTI shaken espresso. No problem right? Yeah I thought so also till I saw how she wanted it customized. She wanted a venti shaken espresso with ONE shot LIGHT ice and CREAM to then proceeds to complain it’s way to light…..had to make the drink 4 times while explaining 1 shot and cream will look extremely white till she gave up and took what she ordered.

yesterday we had a lady who mobile ordered a tall caramel crunch Frappuccino, no customizations. when she received her drink she was like “it’s not supposed to have whipped cream on it 🙄” and stormed out of the store to drive away. a few minutes later she called the store and our SSV told her “I’m looking at your ticket now. you ordered a tall caramel crunch Frappuccino with no customizations, so the barista made it to standard. since you mobile ordered, we only made the drink the way you ordered it. if you wanted no whipped cream you could’ve chosen the option on the app and the barista was supposed to make it for you how you wanted.”

so yeah, customers are stupid. she could’ve waited and got her refund or just taken her order and admit that she was wrong, but she stormed off like a little child and tried to complain to our ssv as if our ssv was going to take her side. LMAO.

Lol thats freakin psychotic. They cant ever admit theyre wrong or made a mistake because theyre embarrassed and the way some people cope with embarrassment is getting angry but then it just makes them look even more like a fool. Like one Christmas time, this guys wife placed the mobile order and it was under her name. She had her husband come pick it up. It was a few drinks in the order. Like 3 or 4. One of the stickers said grande iced mocha. He told is its supposed to be hot. We looked at the sticker and told him that the person who ordered it got it as an iced mocha and that we can make a hot one for him and that he can keep the iced one for a friend or loved one. He lost his shit and said its the worst customer service hes ever had. I handled it correctly. He has to take it up with his wife. He clearly knows she placed the order. We showed him the sticker saying its an iced mocha. We told him we will make it hot and even let him keep the iced one. Please tell me how thats bad customer service? Lmao wtf is wrong with some of these people? Great take it out on me wen i literally did wat the sticker said that u clearly saw urself said "grande iced mocha". "ThIs Is SuPpOsEd To Be HoT"....how am i supposed to kno that if thats not wat the sticker says jfc

A couple years ago a mobile customer ordered a matcha Frappuccino with mocha drizzle so I made her a matcha Frappuccino with mocha drizzle. She comes to pick it up in the drive thru and she yelled at us because she doesn’t like chocolate and we put chocolate on it. She’s so upset. She refused to take ownership even though it was on her sticker.

Tbh the regulars are the worst because they know what they want and all the partners who know them know what they want, but their order is usually a little wrong. Like I made an iced latte for a regular and I had to remake it because they only wanted a splash of milk. I was like… so… not a latte? There’s a regular who doesn’t even knows his order, I had to call over another partner who knew it by heart.

All my coworkers know their orders already but us newbies just have to make mistakes to figure out what they actually want.

I had a customer once order an iced vanilla latte, no other\* customizations, and had me remake it because it "tasted too much like milk". I stared at her for a moment and was like "Well yes...because it's a latte."

I once had someone order a decaf. It was on pour over so he pulled up to the window. Paid me. And I told him it'd be just a moment on his drink.

He immediately huffed angrily and drove off.

I don't know why so many people are against waiting when we're making their drink.

It's not just hitting a button and your drink magically appears. You're not waiting hours for it. It's gonna be a few more seconds. You've already paid. Might as well wait the few more seconds on the drink we warned you would take a little longer.

Literally had a mobile order for a venti latte with 1 shot and she complained it was TOO CREAMY.
Then proceeded to berate us because we obviously don't know what we're doing and then she asked for half of a shot.

Yesterday I had a man who ordered a few Frappuccino’s. I was on main bar and busy making cafe orders. This guy comes up to me to tell me what he wanted and I hadn’t even seen his tickets yet as I was working on the orders ahead of his. As I was busy another partner took the ticket and began to make the drinks. The guy got upset that there was only supposed to be 1 shot instead of the usual 3 in a grande Frappuccino. So the partner says “it says nothing on the ticket about that so I made it the way it’s supposed to be made”. He then proceeds to say that he told me what he wanted (Again, I wasn’t even making his order). So then my fellow partner says “next time you order it let the cashier know so she can input it that way”. The customer was so upset that his drink wasn’t made the way he wanted it. Then the partner begins to make the next drink and again the guy starts customizing it as it’s being made. My partner was so pissed off she needed to walk away.

Our espresso machine was down one day. I tell each customer that walks up… do y’all know.. how many people… said… “oh I don’t want that espresso stuff, I just need and ice caramel macchiato” or “that’s okay can I just get a hot mocha”… and so I said “those have espresso in them…” and they said “oh! Can I just get it without the espresso”……”so just steamed milk?” “Well no still add the coffee” 😑😑😑😑😑 lord have mercy…

Oh oh oh I just remembered!! Girl asked for a “caramel mocha” okay? So that’s what I make!! She comes back and asks why it tastes chocolatey. So I said “you had the caramel mocha right? Caramel and mocha” she said right but not chocolate why is there chocolate? So I asked if she meant a caramel macchiato or something else and she said NO A CARAMEL MOCHA NOT CHOCOLATE…. So I bring around the big jar of mocha sauce and said “this is mocha. Is chocolate. Mocha means chocolate so do you just want a caramel latte?” And she told me I didn’t know what I was doing.

My favorites when I worked for The Soren were the people who’d put their mobile orders in right after parking in the parking lot. They’d walk right in, look expectantly at the mobile pick-up area, then get aghast and offended that their drink wasn’t ready yet. Even had one regular who demanded I prioritize her drink over the other 5 I was working on - and the SM agreed with her. 🙄
