That’s what they’ve said for a while, but it’s mostly a ploy to dissuade us from unionizing. It’ll probably be a 3% raise max which for most of us translates to a 50¢ raise at best.
Meanwhile the billions of dollars in value we produce for this company go to shareholders and execs rather than the ones actually working our asses off keeping this company afloat.
(Edit: a 3% raise is still a 4% pay cut when inflation is 7%.)

It's my understanding that baristas at corporate stores will get raises and will make 15 an hour, that's what I make with tips at my licensed store, plus benefits - that's pretty generous imo.

i make $12 an hour and struggle to get over 25 hours a week at our location. i had a lot of trouble finding a 1 bedroom place to rent here under $1100. it’s not exactly livable

Little over $20 now, will be over $21 after the next raise coming up. Canadian dollars so less than USD, but a very livable wage where I live. Usually I only get 30h a week, but i just choose not to pick up more hours because im comfortable with the amount I make and like the extra free time. I hope the bump to $15 helps you out. A $3 increase is a big upgrade.

No $15 won't help. I'm a SSV and make $20 and still don't make enough to afford a 1 bedroom apartment on my own. Rent is outrageous in the US. And house prices are even worse because rich people buy them up and rent them out.

i was honestly really lucky to find a 2 bedroom apartment under 1k that wasn’t falling apart (but it might be kinda close lol). i live with my partner and even with me working two jobs and them working as a supervisor we just barely scrape by. it sucks that we have to live like this and i’m sorry, i hope your situation improved over time ❤️

thank you, i work another job where i get $14 but no more than 20 hours a week so those aren’t very big paychecks. trying to hold out til i can secure a full time supervisor role there but genuinely don’t know how much longer i can do it.
i usually work 40-45 hours a week but i kinda had to fight to get 30+ hours at my sbux, we consider baristas with over 15-20 a week lucky 🥲

I have only gotten one raise in the past 18 months while working at starbucks. To $12/hr. Which is over $10 less than the cost of living in my city.
