This guy wanted an extra shot in a venti hot americano and it automatically rings it up as an extra $1… he got upset and said “no… extra shot in americanos are usually only like 30 cents” and I looked at him confused and explained it’s just the register automatically. Ofc he demanded a receipt. Was that ever a thing or is he just bullshitting me

Extra shots in americanos are 30¢ each up to 4 shots but if you go over 4 shots, it’s $1 per shot.

Add Shots were only .60-.70 when I got hired 3 years ago. They just keep upping the prices

He is partly wrong - at least last I checked, if you order a tall americano and add a shot, it’ll only increase to the price of a grande, not a full dollar. Same grande to venti. I don’t know if they changed that with the most recent launch, though!
