so! i have an interview at a starbucks in about a week (i previously worked as a barista at target) and i was wondering how easy it is to transfer stores?
ex: i get hired at my hometown starbucks but i'm going to college in august and they have one on campus that i want to work at during the school year.
has anyone done this?

There’s a process to transferring. It can take a few weeks to work everything out and you need agreement from the managers and sometimes district managers of both stores. You’re typically expected to work for 6 months before transferring, and exceptions can be made but it would be risky to count on that happening.
Have you confirmed that the store on your college campus is a corporate store? Most of the time, campus stores are licensed and run by the school’s dining department, so it’s more like a Target store in that the employees aren’t working for Starbucks
