People are mean 🥲 (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by pipebombings
This group of teens my age were being really loud and messing around, decided to pay with $100 bill for a caramel frappucino, then started laughing with one another asking if they should tip me or not (they didn’t). This is my first job ever and I knew I would have to take it working with food, but it feels like I have to let people walk all over me sometimes :(

I wouldn’t said we simply don’t have the change for $100 currently <3

you definitely don't have to let people walk over you! but especially as a first job in a customer facing position, it can take time to learn to not take it personally (a lot of custies are jerks) but also find a balance of following policies while dishing it back LOL

I would have said “Aw hun, if you can’t afford to tip me it’s okay. Save your money!” (;

Some people were just raised by wolves.

I would’ve told them to save their money and not tip me and to eff off :)

I would’ve thrown that bill back. Probably fake anyway.

Ouch, teenagers are either some of the best or easily some of the worst (especially in groups). You just gotta know it’s them trying to get their cool social points for being bad boys/girls.

Though next time, I’d hit them with the “Sorry, I can’t break a 100 : )”
