Customers with "unusual" names (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by GibleIsCute
Obviously the joy of being a barista and asking for a customer's name is getting that one person with the moniker that stands out above the rest and resisting the urge to crack up. I do give response because I'm that sort of person.

Within the first few weeks we had a mother and daughter come in. The daughter was the one I served and she looked around mid-20s I guess. Her name? Disney. Turns out the mother is such a big Disney fanatic so rather than name her spawn Belle or Ariel she decides to be unique. What's more: "She would have been called Mickey if she was a boy" MINNIE WAS RIGHT THERE THEN

I thought nothing could beat that until about a month ago. Served a guy called.... Innocent. My supervisor next to me chimes in and says "until proven guilty" and I wonder what life would be like for him if he got arrested.

Anyone who can top these?

we have someone who mobile orders under “prince of darkness”. before i saw him, i was imagining some 15 year old kid who thought it was funny/edgy…. no. it’s a 50 year old grown man who comes up to handoff each time asking for his order for “prince of darkness” with a straight face.

Grown adults trying to do edgy names is cringe worthy. Had a guy at my old store who insisted we call him "Batman," but I only ever called out his drink name

Making fun of a little kid's real name is just mean though

This one lady mobile orders and her name is Evil Genius...she's a total bitch too. It's not cute or funny to me.
This old man told me his name was 23.

This isn't a weird name but this guy was so pissed. his name was Kevin but I did not hear the K, and put his name as Evan. Walked out of the store yelling, I said Kevin!!!

My store seems to attract Charlottes for some reason. Not complaining, I love the name, but I swear we get like 5 Charlottes in per day.

lol my coworkers gonna find my account now but we have regularly

\-mobile for Rick's Wife

\-Dagger

\-mobile for Awesome Dude

\-mobile for someone who put in their very long full legal name (no it doesn't all fit on the sticker)

I definitely don't have customer names that can top the ones I just read on here haha😂

But there's a guy who mobile orders and orders in store with his Starbucks account with the name "doctor" on the sticker. Then there's another guy that mobile orders here and there and his name on the sticker is "the fresh" lol when he comes to pick it up, he looks like a guy who's probably in his late thirties or early forties or something with that Italian from South Philly type of look. And he has chains on his neck lol 👍. Then another guy who is a regular and his name on the app is "king dave" lol hes a cool guy tho
