Thinking about putting in my 2 weeks (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by TripleV420
I don’t even wanna do this because I like working for Starbucks (even though I’ve literally only been here for 2 months) but I don’t think I’m adjusting at this store. Maybe I’m good at being a server, but not a barista 😂

They’re all nice (except for the one girl that trained me, she’s kinda mean and I don’t think she likes me very much), the hours are decent, and the benefits are great. I’ve been told I’m great a connecting with customers, so they put me on DTW a lot and sometimes bad training when they can. Plus it works great with my other job. Maybe it’s the store I’m at. I’m gonna see if I can get a transfer to a location closer to my house, but if not, goodbye Starbucks

i felt the same way until about 3 months (currently around 3.5/4 months) and then it didn’t seem so bad and you really have to just allow yourself to be ok with not being able to learn everything all at once or even quickly. it’s a lot more complex of a job to learn than i ever would have thought it would be

It’s not so much learning. It’s more of the vibe of the store and some of the people.

Currently feeling this. Will be my 3rd month next month. Just feels like I'm not really uh belonging there but I also still struggle to talk and communicate so it most definitely must be a "me" thing. I'm still pretty slow and forgetting recipes for hot bar, cold bar not so much.

But I hope you find the answer to your situation!
No job should make you feel this way, pal.

I hope it gets better for you and if not, I hope you find a job where you can have fun and be appreciated!

And I found a 2nd job! Im training as a server at a restaurant. As soon as I’m finish training, I’m putting in my 2 weeks.
